Fitness Therapy Unlimited provides nutrition facts via registered dietitians to promote healthy living for our clients

Fitness Therapy Unlimited offers medical nutrition therapy designed to assess, educate, and modify a client’s diet for weight management and maximization of fitness therapy results.

Physical activities are only part of developing a better overall quality of life. In order to ensure the body is working to its maximum potential, it is crucial to maintain proper nutrition. Fitness Therapy Unlimited’s registered dietitians create customized nutritional programs to aid in weight loss, increase energy, improve overall health, and maximize results from physical activity. Our registered dietitians (RD) are passionate about meeting with our clients to discuss their likes and dislikes in regards to food choices, and then developing an easy-to-follow plan that will meet the client’s needs without taking away the things that they love.

So what is medical nutrition therapy (MNT)? Also known as therapeutic nutrition, MNT has become an increasingly crucial part of fitness therapy. It is designed to identify clients at risk of nutrition-related health problems and find ways to adjust their diet for better health outcomes.

MNT follows a staged process that includes an intake assessment to determine the client’s current and past dietary structure, followed by a dietary modification plan, then patient education. Finally, follow-up aftercare is the last critical component to ensure our clients are staying “on track” with their new dietary plan. Please visit the Encyclopedia of Nursing and Allied Health for more information on medical nutrition therapy.

We only employ the best when it comes to caring for our clients. Our head Registered Dietitian has a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and more than 10 years experience as a RD working with individuals with disabilities within a clinical setting.  Additionally, she is the former President of SEMDA, which is a recognized association within the dietetics community in Southeast Michigan.
